  • resolve proofer's notes, which are indicated by asterisk
    • fix all hyphen-*ation-*issues
    • decide how to handle the noted issues and edit notes to be as short as possible, but don't change the text yet. It is not necessary to decide on each and every note at this step, but the more the better. The following checks likely will uncover more issues which deserve notes. The reason to shorten the notes as much as possible is because they will still be in the text when it gets rewrapped. This—as well as keeping the notes instead of changing the text—makes it easier to compile a list of corrections. Additionally this way it is possible to change your mind on some issues later.
