Quote: If you set your Finder windows to View As Columns then you can look at thumbnails of your images without having to open them in Preview.

Really? Nothing happens when I try that. Each image still shows just with a little Preview logo, no thumbnail. ?? Laurawisewell 07:25, 13 August 2006 (PDT)
Try this: when you're in a window with images, go to View > Show View Options and make sure Show Preview Column is ticked. When you have an image selected, then a column should appear to the right with a thumbnail of the image. You may have to click on the disclosure triangle to show it. logista 15:38, 13 August 2006 (PDT)
Yep, that works! How exciting, I never knew that ... thanks! Laurawisewell 15:46, 13 August 2006 (PDT)

Hola - the link to GraphicConverter comes up 404 Not Found, so I updated it to which is what I found on search. :D TheEileen 21:18, 17 February 2007 (PST)

Re Text editors: It would be good to know which ones can do the \C ... \E perl code thing that Guiguts can, as it's useful for page numbers etc. The feature lists of most editors boast of their regex capability but don't get specific enough to say this.  ?

Is this a place to ask a question? In terminal when I try to delete the .DS_Store file from a zipped file I get "permission denied". I don't know how to "get" permission. Mama Beth a.k.a. Long Green.
