Prentiss Ingraham (22 December, 1843 - 16-August, 1904) was an extremely prolific dime novelist and the son of Joseph Holt Ingraham. In 1900, Prentiss estimated that he had written over 600 novels -- albeit, most of them very formulaic. He also wrote some plays and poems. As of May 2006:
