Lyrics copied from P3 and perl-formatted --QMacrocarpa 13:23, 2 June 2007 (PDT):

"THE God of love my Shepherd is,"
" And he that doth me feed;"
"While he is mine and I am his,"
" What can I want or need?"
""
"He leads me to the tender grass,"
" Where I both feed and rest;"
"Then to the streams that gently pass:"
" In both I have the best."
""
"Or if I stray, he doth convert,"
" And bring my mind in frame,"
"And all this not for my desert,"
" But for his holy name."
""
"Yea, in death's shady black abode"
" Well may I walk, not fear;"
"For thou art with me, and thy rod"
" To guard, thy staff to bear."
""
"Surely thy sweet and wondrous love"
" Shall measure all my days;"
"And as it never shall remove"
" So neither shall my praise."
""

Lily3 Notes

Copy the Lilypond source to your computer and compile it to create MIDIs and a PDF to check. Leave notes here, or edit the code in Lily2 and leave notes describing the changes. The L3 who declares the hymn "cleared" should upload the correctly-named files to the file repository. This ensures that what is checked and cleared is exactly what is uploaded.

Notes by L2 Jkenny 04:10, 11 June 2007 (PDT)

  • 2nd system 2nd last measure tenor/bass. Tenor has a dotted 1/4 g which is merged with a bass non-dotted 1/4 g? Please confirm that this is correct.

QMacrocarpa 15:29, 11 June 2007 (PDT)

  • Agree on merged tenor/bass G-- dotted in tenor, not dotted in bass. Looks just right in PDF to me.
  • I don't at all insist on this for the PDF, but I noticed that the scan shows a double dot on the final soprano/alto note.
  • Next-to-last note in bass should be G instead of F.
  • That's all I found.

Jkenny 19:16, 11 June 2007 (PDT)

  • Fixed double dots
  • Fixed g note.

styg 17:39, 30 June 2007 (PDT)

  • Should there be a breath mark over the first double-bar in the first system to match the breath mark in the second system?

Jkenny 03:00, 2 July 2007 (PDT)

  • Don't realy know the answer to this. There have been other occasions when there was only one breathmark ( I found this in e,g, Hymn 27 St. Michael so far). And the 1933 edition is consistent in these cases in showing only one breathmark. Perhaps we should just match the scan and leave a note for the PPer?

styg 08:51, 2 July 2007 (PDT)

  • If the 1933 edition is the same, it is probably intentional. Match the scan works for me.

camilla 10:56, 2 July 2007 (PDT)

  • I'm for matching the scan too.

QMacrocarpa 15:08, 3 July 2007 (PDT)

  • Me too. Cleared.
