Lyrics copied from P3 and perl-formatted --QMacrocarpa 14:07, 3 July 2007 (PDT):

"HAIL the day that sees him rise Alleluya!"
"Glorious to his native skies; Alleluya!"
"Christ, awhile to mortals given, Alleluya!"
"Enters now the highest heaven! Alleluya!"
""
"There the glorious triumph waits; Alleluya!"
"Lift your heads, eternal gates! Alleluya!"
"Christ hath vanquished death and sin; Alleluya!"
"Take the King of glory in. Alleluya!"
""
"* See! the heaven its Lord receives, Alleluya!"
"Yet he loves the earth he leaves: Alleluya!"
"Though returning to his throne, Alleluya!"
"Still he calls mankind his own. Alleluya!"
""
"* See! he lifts his hands above; Alleluya!"
"See! he shows the prints of love: Alleluya!"
"Hark! his gracious lips bestow Alleluya!"
"Blessings on his Church below. Alleluya!"
""
"Still for us he intercedes; Alleluya!"
"His prevailing death he pleads; Alleluya!"
"Near himself prepares our place, Alleluya!"
"Harbinger of human race. Alleluya!"
""
"Lord, though parted from our sight, Alleluya!"
"Far above yon azure height, Alleluya!"
"Grant our hearts may thither rise, Alleluya!"
"Seeking thee beyond the skies. Alleluya!"
""
"There we shall with thee remain, Alleluya!"
"Partners of thine endless reign; Alleluya!"
"There thy face unclouded see. Alleluya!"
"Find our heaven of heavens in thee. Alleluya!"

Note by L3 KenJ 21:16, 23 August 2007 (PDT)

  • System 2, last note, bass: has a natural (in the image).
  • Note under score: This is the first time I noticed the capital letters are spaced away from the small-caps. Clearly evident in all occurences of small-caps in Note.
  • The spacing (blank lines) between "see No. 133" and "C. Wesley" should be greater than that between "C. Wesley" and lyrics. This will clearly define where score block and lyric block separate.
  • Same location: did you get the [year] after Cotterill from your hard copy? I can't make it out in the image.
  • Lyrics, verse 7, line 3: I think there should be a comma after "see" instead of a period.

Notes by Jkenny 03:08, 24 August 2007 (PDT)

  • Fixed system 2 bass natural
  • I see it too - more apparent under high magnification. However in the code, it is definite that no gap is being asked for e.g. \smallCaps "Easter Hymn". Therefore it is inherent in Lilypond (a Lilypond limitation of some kind). We can move the small capitals nearer to the big ones, but I recommend that we don't. If we do move the letters closer manually, then if Lilypond's developers fix the problem, we will now find that our manually adjusted letters will be too close together.
  • Increased spacing between "See...." and "C. Wesley".
  • Year after Cotterill was verified with my 1933 edition. P3 thinks it is 1820. Made an entry in Errata.
  • Verse 7 line 3 does end with comma in 1933 edition, so inserted. Errata updated.
  • V2 up.

Notes by KenJ 13:19, 24 August 2007 (PDT)

  • Looks great. Clear this one, too.
  • I mentioned small-cap situation because I didn't know if it was a limitation or not. Since it is, then leave as is. We just won't tell any of the end-users about it. They probably won't notice. :)
