Lyrics copied from P3 and perl-formatted --QMacrocarpa 09:07, 28 June 2007 (PDT):

"JESUS lives! thy terrors now"
" Can, O Death, no more appal us;"
"Jesus lives! by this we know"
" Thou, O grave, canst not enthral us."
" Alleluya!"
""
"Jesus lives! henceforth is death"
" But the gate of life immortal;"
"This shall calm our trembling breath,"
" When we pass its gloomy portal."
" Alleluya!"
""
"Jesus lives! for us he died;"
" Then, alone to Jesus living,"
"Pure in heart may we abide,"
" Glory to our Saviour giving,"
" Alleluya!"
""
"Jesus lives! our hearts know well"
" Nought from us his love shall sever;"
"Life, nor death, nor powers of hell"
" Tear us from his keeping ever."
" Alleluya!"
""
"Jesus lives! to him the throne"
" Over all the world is given;"
"May we go where he is gone,"
" Rest and reign with him in heaven."
" Alleluya!"

Notes by L3 KenJ 01:42, 22 August 2007 (PDT)

  • Lyrics title: (same as previous hymn) I've never seen accents in German. Change all three acute-accented i's to regular dotted ones.
  • I've begun measuring for one-pagers. I think the last was just a little short again for the Amen score, but I think this one will fit. Humor me.

Notes by Jkenny 07:28, 22 August 2007 (PDT)

  • What looks like accented i's are actually just the way the Humboldt Fraktur font renders normal i's. See discussion in previous piece.
  • Nope, this one didn't make it into one page either. Again, just a little short. I think it might have made it in if the Fraktur title was not there, or if the lyricist/translator was only one line.

Note by L3 KenJ 13:33, 22 August 2007 (PDT)

  • Then clear it. Thanks for checking. I thought sure I had one after measuring. :)

V1 uploaded to repository.
