Lyrics copied from P3 and perl-formatted --QMacrocarpa 10:27, 12 June 2007 (PDT):
"AND now, belovèd Lord, thy soul resigning"
" Into thy Father's arms with conscious will,"
"Calmly, with reverend grace, thy head inclining,"
" The throbbing brow and labouring breast grow still."
""
"O Love! o'er mortal agony victorious,"
" Now is thy triumph! now that Cross shall shine"
"To earth's remotest age revered and glorious,"
" Of suffering's deepest mystery the sign."
""
"My Saviour, in mine hour of mortal auguish,"
" When earth grows dim, and round me falls the night,"
"O breathe thy peace, as flesh and spirit languish;"
" At that dread eventide let there be light."
""
"To thy dear Cross turn thou mine eyes in dying;"
" Lay but my fainting head upon thy breast;"
"Those outstretched arms receive my latest sighing;"
" And then, O! then, thine everlasting rest."
""

Lily3 Notes
Copy the Lilypond source to your computer and compile it to create MIDIs and a PDF to check. Leave notes here, or edit the code in Lily2 and leave notes describing the changes. The L3 who declares the hymn "cleared" should upload the correctly-named files to the file repository. This ensures that what is checked and cleared is exactly what is uploaded.

Notes by L2 Jkenny 07:42, 6 July 2007 (PDT)
- Note that this is one of the few pieces which has a time signature.
Notes by L3 KenJ 13:02, 17 August 2007 (PDT)
- Verse 3, line 1: "auguish," should be "anguish," (posted to error list).
Notes by Jkenny 20:43, 17 August 2007 (PDT)
- "Anguish" fixed.
- Version 2 up.
Notes by L3 KenJ 23:44, 17 August 2007 (PDT)
- Near the very end of the PDF, to more closely match the image, you should delete the extra blank line below "The following are also suitable:" to make it evenly spaced between the text above AND below. I looked at one random sample of a completed hymn, and it looks like 2 blank lines, the same as it does here. Closer to image, or consistent with finished hymns? Once you answer that, then this is finished.
Reply Jkenny 03:09, 18 August 2007 (PDT)
- I think we should match the image. There's no reason why the spacing should be bigger in any case. So I adjusted the code to match the even spacing in the image. On other finished hymns where the spacing was uneven, I think we should fix them if we find them too, unless the image shows otherwise.
- So version 3 up.
Notes by L3 KenJ 13:36, 18 August 2007 (PDT)
- Fixing the spacing unless the image shows otherwise sounds good to me, unless we determine that it was a publisher's error or oversight maybe.
- V3 looks great and has my approval. Let's clear it.
- Version 3 cleared and uploaded to repository.
