Lyrics copied from P3 and perl-formatted --QMacrocarpa 10:09, 12 June 2007 (PDT):
"O COME and mourn with me awhile;"
" See Mary calls us to her side;"
"O come and let us mourn with her:"
" Jesus, our Love, is crucified."
""
"Have we no tears to shed for him,"
" While soldiers scoff and Jews deride?"
"Ah, look how patiently he hangs:"
" Jesus, our Love, is crucified."
""
"* How fast his hands and feet are nailed;"
" His blessèd tongue with thirst is tied;"
"His failing eyes are blind with blood:"
" Jesus, our Love is crucified."
""
"* His Mother cannot reach his face;"
" She stands in helplessness beside;"
"Her heart is martyred with her Son's:"
" Jesus, our Love, is crucified."
""
"Seven times he spoke, seven words of love;"
" And all three hours his silence cried"
"For mercy on the souls of men:"
" Jesus, our Love, is crucified."
""
"O break, O break, hard heart of mine;"
" Thy weak self-love and guilty pride"
"His Pilate and his Judas were:"
" Jesus, Our Love, is crucified."
""
"A broken heart, a fount of tears,"
" Ask, and they will not be denied;"
"A broken heart love's cradle is:"
" Jesus, our Love, is crucified."
""
"O Love of God! O sin of Man!"
" In this dread act your strength is tried;"
"And victory remains with Love:"
" And he, our Love, is crucified."

Lily3 Notes
Copy the Lilypond source to your computer and compile it to create MIDIs and a PDF to check. Leave notes here, or edit the code in Lily2 and leave notes describing the changes. The L3 who declares the hymn "cleared" should upload the correctly-named files to the file repository. This ensures that what is checked and cleared is exactly what is uploaded.
Notes by L2 Jkenny 08:10, 4 July 2007 (PDT)
- A crowded piece. Had to use no-break bars to prevent Lilypond doing uncommanded linebreaks and force it to lay music out in only 2 systems.
styg 19:11, 20 July 2007 (PDT)
- 2nd system, 1st measure after double-bar, 3rd organ note should be fis instead of f.
- 2nd system, 1st measure after double-bar, 4th bass note (gis) needs explicit sharp.
- 2nd system, 2nd measure after double-bar, bass line slur needs to be up so it doesn't obscure the organ note.
- Verse 3, line 4, needs a comma after Love. (typo in original--added to Proofing Errors page.)
- Or the following section, 1st item, change "thous" to "thou".
Jkenny 20:15, 20 July 2007 (PDT)
- All fixed. Had to use manual control point adjustment for the up slur as default \slurUp shape looked ugly.
- Agree with comma after "Love". Not in the scan nor in the 1933 edition, but all other verses have it.
