Lyrics copied from P3 and perl-formatted --QMacrocarpa 14:28, 12 August 2007 (PDT):

"MARTYR of God, whose strength was steeled"
" To follow close God's only Son,"
"Well didst thou brave thy battlefield,"
" And well thy heavenly bliss was won!"
""
"Now join thy prayers with ours, who pray"
" That God may pardon us and bless;"
"For prayer keeps evil's plague away,"
" And draws from life its weariness."
""
"Long, long ago, were loosed the chains"
" That held thy body once in thrall;"
"For us how many a bond remains!"
" O Love of God release us all."
""
"All praise to God the Father be,"
" All praise to thee, eternal Son;"
"All praise, O Holy Ghost, to thee,"
" While never-ending ages run. Amen."
""

Notes by L3 KenJ 00:48, 14 April 2008 (PDT)

  • System 1, end: The last single barline in both staffs are not in the image.
  • System 2, beginning: The first single barline in both staffs are not in the image.
  • System 3, after alto slur: The second-last single barline in both staffs are not in the image.
  • Lyric title is twice as far away from the lyric body as in the same section in the previous hymn (same lyrics).

Notes by L2 Jkenny 07:25, 14 April 2008 (PDT)

  • I'm sorry I don't quite understand. The barlines in the PDF seem to match what I see in the image. Do you mean something is missing in the PDF, so something is added in the PDF which isn't in the image?

Note by L3 KenJ 19:18, 22 May 2008 (PDT)

  • Please disregard my first three comments regarding barlines. My computer must have been ill at the time. After taking another look, all barlines look just fine. Sorry about that. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. Never be afraid to disagree with me, or question my evaluation.
