Lyrics copied from P3 and perl-formatted --QMacrocarpa 14:16, 12 August 2007 (PDT):

"LORD of Creation, bow thine ear. O Christ, to hear"
"The intercession of thy servant true and dear,"
"That we unworthy, who have trespassed in thy sight,"
"May live before thee where he dwells in glorious light."
""
"O God our Saviour, look on thine inheritance,"
"Sealed by the favour shining from thy countenance;"
"That no false spirit bring to nought the souls of price"
"Bought by the merit of thy perfect Sacrifice."
""
"We bear the burden of our guilt and enmity,"
"Until thy pardon lift the heart from slavery:"
"Then through the spending of thy life-blood, King of grace,"
"Grant us unending triumph in thy holy place."
""
"To thee the glorious Christ, our Saviour manifest,"
"All wreaths victorious, praise and worship be addrest,"
"Whom with the living Father humbly we adore,"
"And the life-giving Spirit, God for evermore. Amen."
""

%% a second set of macro settings for stemless long notes ( 2x duration of regular white note )
%% this one uses X-offset instead of force-hshift.
%% All long notes are offset slightly to the right with respect to any beamed notes which
%% they are aligned with. Normally, this is done with force-hshift.
%% However, when 2 long notes occur one atop the other (i.e. in S + A pats or in T + B parts), then applying force-hshift
%% to both does not work. Hence one note needs to be moved with the regular force-hshift in the \ln macro above,
%% while the other is moved with X-offset with the macro \lnb
%% In general force-hshift is preferred whenever possible as slurs are adjusted automatically, while X-offset especially
%% when used with a bottom slur often results in a slur starting too far to the left and which then needs manual adjustment.

Notes by L2 Jkenny 07:47, 31 August 2007 (PDT)

  • Note the use of the half-height bars in the score. They are mentioned in the Preface and also turn up in Hymn 172.
  • Header - I have cast this in one line as that's how subsequent headers under this theme are going to look like.
  • "Part II" - didn't know whether this should be included or not, so I included it, as it is easier for the PPer to take it our than put it in.
  • "See also" section: Since space is generous, I recast the list of hymns as a single column.

Notes by L3 KenJ 23:16, 5 October 2007 (PDT)

  • I think the lyrics title could come down just a wee bit to separate it from the block above. I know the image doesn't show it any lower, but I think it best to more clearly separate as we had been doing. Looks like it's been "crunched" in the image for lack of vertical space to fit it on the page.
  • Lyrics, verse 1, line 1: There probably should be a comma after "ear" instead of a period.
  • These, of course, also pertain to the following hymn as well, which has the same lyrics.

Notes by L2 Jkenny 08:10, 6 October 2007 (PDT)

  • Moved the lyrics title lower.
  • Lyrics verse1 line 1 fixed: Comma after "ear". Errata updated.
  • V2 up.
