Notes by L3 KenJ 17:57, 20 August 2007 (PDT)

  • Check width of blank lines between score and translator, and between translator and lyrics for consistency with previous hymns.
  • Lyrics, verse 1, line 2: Looks too far right. Check for consistency.
  • All blank lines between verses narrower than usual, but at least they are consistent so the colulmns line up nicely.

Notes by Jkenny 18:55, 20 August 2007 (PDT)

  • The space between score/translator and between translator/lyrics is not controlled by the insertion of blank lines. It is the space between graphical entities - Lilypond adjusts that as it thinks fit to space things out on the page. In this case, it has decided that the translator entity should be closer to the lyrics than the score. I suggest we don't play around with this spacing too much as we will never know how it looks when a user compiles on a different computer, or uses a different paper size and other settings or even version of Lilypond to compile with. When there are uneven lines within an entity, like in a column of lyrics, then I guess we should adjust it. That's what I have been doing, but I leave a comment in the code to tell the user this, just in case the uneven-line bug doesn't happen on his computer, and he can then remove the code which was used to adjust the spacing.
  • Fixed verse 1 line 2 - my mistake.
  • Blank lines between verses, yes you are right. Again, I don't understand why. But since they are the same, I suggest we leave it.
  • Version 2 up.

Note by KenJ 02:22, 21 August 2007 (PDT)

  • That's all fine with me. Clear it.
