Notes

Stygiania's notes:

  • correct name from MENDELSSOHN-BARTHOLDT to MENDELSSOHN-BARTHOLDY.
  • natural symbol missing from organ pedal part (G) in the 3rd bar of the last line.
  • comma missing after M. Madan (1760).

QMacrocarpa's notes:

  • Not sure of date after Madan-- 1766 maybe, instead of 1760? Hmm, looking into it a bit, I found a flow-chart detailing the cumulative authorship of the hymn. It confirms 1760 for Madan's bit.
  • I'm feeling more and more confused about italic vs. small-cap issues, so not sure if composer and dates at top right should be in italics. Perhaps not, as not embedded in large block of italics? See project discussion. Mark-up decisions not my forte!
  • Add drop-cap and remove number on first verse.

jkenny's notes:

  • All the above notes incorporated and errors corrected in V2.
  • On smallcaps, Daniemers has made a decision in forum that we match image "unless context is clear" so only dates get italicized when within the context of an italic phrase such as the line showing time-line of composers of the lyrics.
  • Hymn meter: left a space between each 7. Looks okay yo you?

QMacrocarpa again:

  • Reviewed above issues, and everything looks fine to me in new version's PDF (including hymn meter). Above link to Amen MIDI appears to duplicate link to MIDI for hymn proper, but checked in file repository and Amen MIDI there appears correct.
Yes, typo in the url link, now fixed. Jkenny 18:34, 9 May 2007 (PDT)

Lily3 cleared. QMacrocarpa 14:38, 9 May 2007 (PDT)
