Non-standard stage directions

The project manager wanted right-justified stage directions that are on lines of their own to be left-justified and unmarked. As stated elsewhere in these examples, there are no widely accepted standards for this, so always check the project's comments and discussion, and if it isn't covered, ask.

Italics and small caps interactions

Guidelines require closing and reopening italics around names in small caps. The result may be hard to read in _plain text_. You can ask the project manager about enclosing all of this in a single pair of italics markups and marking each small caps within that ... but always format per the guidelines unless the project manager or post-processor says to do otherwise.
