DP Official Documentation talk:Smooth Reading/Smooth Reading FAQ

Does it really mean ASCII when it says "smooth-read texts should be in ASCII format"? That's a terrible pain, cos it means the smoothread results have to be copied into FOUR files! Further down it seems to contradict this.
I'm asking because I was thinking of creating a page that describes how to get your text editor to use UTF-8 -- I've just had yet another smoothie painstakingly flag well over 100 UTF-8 characters, despite my smoothreading comments, a readme in the zip and giving the filename a utf8 suffix. He says he was using WordPad and didn't know what else to do. Laurawisewell 01:46, 5 July 2006 (PDT)
