User:FallenArchangel/My PM Process.
One of the key things I do is to set holds in all rounds when I create the projects.
Mainly so that if a question is asked whilst I'm not there that I get a chance to see the question and answer it and if the question or answer causes me to make a decision about something then I leave the project in available for a little while so that whoever asked has a chance to see my reply and if needed act on it.
If I come back and no questions have been asked and the pages are all saved as done, then I do a couple of quick checks such as PQC (Project Quick Check) etc. and then release the hold to let it move to the next round. So there is often a period after all pages are saved as done, when my projects will wait for me to show up before they proceed. Usually this is not more than 24 hours since I am usually on here at least once a day.
One of the worst aspects of proofreading I recall, is asking a question and having the damn project already move to the next round before it is answered. That always annoyed me and made me think I wasted my time asking the question. Hence I don't let my projects auto transition to the next rounds. As PM I usually want to check a few things though too and I'm just not there 24/7, so I use the holds in available for that also.
