What am I collecting?
I have three main areas of interest at PGDP:
- Christian Heritage
- Low Saxon language
- travels
Christian Heritage
General Christian literature
Adventist literature
Being a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, I like digitizing old books of my denomination, especially from the generation of our founders.
Joseph Bates
- The Seventh Day Sabbath (1846 edition) (scanned by me, PM by Cally Soukup)
- The Sabbath - a perpetual sign (1847 edition): etext:27266
- A Vindication of the Seventh-Day Sabbath
Low Saxon language
Low Saxon ("Plattdüütsch") is the regional language of Northern Germany. There are some interesting books writen in or about Plattdüütsch that fall into the time range of PGDP.
- Dat nie Testament: An update on the classic translation of the New Testament by Bugenhagen, currently in F2
- Mittelniederdeutsches Handwörterbuch by Lübben. A dictionary Middle Low Saxon to High German. Middle Low Saxon was the kind of Low Saxon that was used some hundred years ago. A part of my quest for lost Low Saxon words. Currently in F2.
