I'm using this page when I want to look at the diffs between a couple texts or files quickly & easily. Or I may just use it for random temporary content.

Background colors

To Proofreaders:

  • Follow normal proofreading guidelines.
  • Most pages have a footer with something like "Digitized by Google" at the bottom. Please remove these footers.
  • If by deleting footers and/or headers there is no text remaining on the page, please insert the [Blank Page] tag.

To Formatters:

  • Follow normal formatting rules.

To the post-processor: An HTML edition of this is required. We don't yet have any set standards for HTML, although these are being developed. In the mean time, make sure that whatever you produce satisfied the following:

  • Please make sure that the HTML validates to at least XHTML 1.0 transitional.
  • Anchors should be made named 'pageXXX', enabling the reader to jump straight to a particular page.
  • Page numbers in the Table of Contents and/or Index should be linked to their respective page anchors.
  • Footnote references should be linked to their footnotes.
  • HQ illustrations in the project directory should be incorporated into the HTML version.
  • Edition and printing information should be retained.
