Lyrics copied from P3 and perl-formatted --QMacrocarpa 14:55, 29 May 2007 (PDT):

"EARTH'S mighty Maker, whose command"
"Raised from the sea the solid land,"
"And drove each billowy heap away,"
"And bade the earth stand firm for aye:"
""
"That so, with flowers of golden hue,"
"The seeds of each it might renew;"
"And fruit-trees bearing fruit might yield--"
"And pleasant pasture of the field;"
""
"Our spirit's rankling wounds efface"
"With dewy freshness of thy grace:"
"That grief may cleanse each deed of ill,"
"And o'er each lust may triumph still."
""
"Let every soul thy law obey,"
"And keep from every evil way;"
"Rejoice each promised good to win"
"And flee from every mortal sin."
""
"O Father, that we ask be done."
"Through Jesus Christ, thine only Son;"
"Who, with the Holy Ghost and thee,"
"Doth live and reign eternally."

Lily3 Notes

Copy the Lilypond source to your computer and compile it to create MIDIs and a PDF to check. Leave notes here, or edit the code in Lily2 and leave notes describing the changes. The L3 who declares the hymn "cleared" should upload the correctly-named files to the file repository. This ensures that what is checked and cleared is exactly what is uploaded.

styg 18:22, 25 June 2007 (PDT)

  • lyrics attribution: Tr. date should be 1854 instead of 1834.
  • Verse 2, line 3, change -- to — (em-dash character).
  • Verse 5, line 1. I think this line ends with a comma instead of a period. It isn't very clear though.

camilla 00:24, 26 June 2007 (PDT)

  • Ta - just check em-dash is as expected? I cut and pasted from a Unicode webpage as Jack explained in one of his emails. Regards, camilla.
