A word of ENCOURAGEMENT

IT (whatever it is, for you ) probably isnt as difficult as you think, now...

Do you want to learn something new?

So do I. Look up, one line... see that ''something new '?.... up there?

I DID NOT know THAT I COULD DO THAT UNTIL TWO MINUTES AGO WHEN I TRIED IT, and HEY! it WORKS!!!

and that line, right up there, above... (actually it is the two lines above... I am working as I go, people...) I just TRIED it, and ya know what, THAT WORKED, TOO!!!

It isnt perfect, and I would be the first to admit that, but it works,eh?

...read that line again, (actually, those two lines) and tell me it dont work, eh?

How do you learn something new?I One bite at a time!

One bite... at a time!

I will lay off on the bold now that I have said that and gotten your attention...

Give me five minutes... to say a couple of things...

Learn ONE thing at a time. Don't read the Main Page top to bottom. Scan the Main Page, and when you notice something which interests you, take a few minutes to learn about that!

Congratulations! You just learned something new! Reward yourself. Take a break!

That bit I just said may have slipped by you just now... so I will say again, reward yourself. You have earned one. You learned something new. Take a break. You need one.

Remember how we learned in grade school? Teacher didn't say in the morning, 'Today is Tuesday, so we will learn math, and by the end of the day you will be able to find the Least Common Multiples and Greatest Common Divisors in fractions.' Little Jonny would not have come back after lunch if she had. No, you learned a few minutes of math everyday, and reviewed, to reinforce the learning, with a test on Friday. Single bites.

And THAT is how we should learn now... one bite at a time. And reward yourself. And take breaks. If your head starts to hurt, get some sleep, and let your subconcious mind push some ideas upward, and when you come back to it on the morrow, you will see things you didnt today. The great thing about being an adult is that I can choose to learn about what interests me.

Thank you for your time and attention, and come back soon for another bite. If you 'watch' this page, you will be notified when the next lesson is ready. Class dismissed!

[**if you got here by crying 'help', and read to the bottom of this page to read this, give yourself extra credit, and take a break... you earned the first, and need the latter... then give me another two (count 'em, 2) minutes by hitting the 'back' button in your browser to finish this short lesson.

If you do so, may many blessings be upon your head my child... if not, the blessing/curse is... 'may you live in interesting times'...

ANY comments welcome... dont be shy!]
