Recommended custom characters list

This is a selected list of custom characters for use by Project Managers. It is not a definitive list. If you want to use other characters, please see custom characters for guidance.

Please check the list of All Character Suites, as well, to see if the character you're interested in adding may already be available in a current character suite.

Please suggest more characters to add in the Project custom characters thread.

U+2020 Dagger As mentioned in Wikipedia the dagger can be used to indicate death, extinction, or obsolescence.
U+2021 Double Dagger
U+2032 Prime Used for measuring units in math, sciences, astronomy, etc. Avoid confusion with acute accent, apostrophe, or other such marks.
U+2033 Double Prime Avoid confusion with double quote marks.
U+2720 Maltese Cross Actually a "Cross pattée". Used in liturgical texts
U+2123 Versicle May not display properly if not using DP sans Mono.
U+211F Response May not display properly if not using DP sans Mono.
U+23D1 Metrical breve Used to show unstressed or short syllables in metrical verse patterns. May not display without DP sans Mono.
U+2030 Per Mille Sign
