One of the leading children's magazines of the era, along with Harper's Young People's and Youth's Companion. Published monthly, normal size, two column pages. Many famous authors, including Louisa May Alcott, published in this magazine. Many lovely illustrations.

Usually bound in lovely red bindings, 6 months per volume. Occasionally appears with an entire year bound together. Also often appears with only 3 months as Volume X part 1 or Volume X part 2.

These are going through DP and some are already in PG.

Hathi Trust has the entire pre-1923 run, with multiple copies of each volume. Presumably these were all scanned by Google.
