Magic Tricks
for Project Managers
To make active links to projects listed on the dp-wiki:
As soon as you've created the project, you can set up links. Paste in these two lines, including the boldface tags ''' at each end. Be sure to delete any line breaks and leading blank spaces so the final text doesn't show up in a box like these examples.
'''[[projectpage:projectID4956fbd858241|Current state:]] <projectinfo id="projectID4956fbd858241">%state%</projectinfo>'''
Replace both "projectID..." with your actual project ID. The first one creates a link to the Project Page, hidden behind the words "Current state". The second one is dp-wiki magic that automatically shows what state the project is in. The reader will see this: Current state: proj_submit_pgposted
Once you've done this, you do not need to touch your text again until the project has been posted to PG ("Current state" says "Posted to PG"). When that happens, you will want to change the package to
[[etext:13484]]
replacing "13484" with the right e-text number, which you can get from the Project Page. The reader will see etext:13484 with a link to the PG page.
