Footnotes to footnotes

It is rare, but sometimes footnotes have footnotes. Very "meta"! In this example the main book uses numbers for its footnote anchors, so the footnotes to the footnote use symbols. Swap symbols for letters as usual. Place the "meta" footnotes just after the normal footnotes, not inside of the parent footnote.

The book could also have used symbols and the meta footnote used numbers. If you see both types of footnote using the same naming convention, you will need to change the meta footnotes to an alternate sequence to avoid confusion.
