How to get and install LaTeX

Free LaTeX Distributions for PCs

These widely-used distributions are both libre and gratis, but all involve downloads of hundreds of MB. If you don't have a fast Internet connection, please inquire in the LaTeX Typesetters. Another DPer may be able to snail mail you a DVD containing the software.
