In Memoriam/oldguyrice03

Jerry joined Distributed Proofreaders on 7 March 2010 and was active with us until 20 May 2021. His work was mostly under the user name oldguyrice03, but he also did some work using the username ricethebookie. In the time that he was with us, he proofread and formatted almost 60,000 pages. He worked on a wide variety of books. Among them were: The Stately Homes of England, The History of Chemistry, A Dog of Flanders, The Story of Wellington, Recollections of a Confederate Staff Officer, Herman Melville, Mariner and Mystic, and so many more!

Thanks to his caring and diligent work, more than 2,500 ebooks have become available at Project Gutenberg. His work will live on in the many books he produced for Project Gutenberg. We will miss him here at Distributed Proofreaders.
