In Memoriam/Cosmas

Tom Cosmas (Cosmas) passed away in May 2023 after a long illness.

Cosmas joined Distributed Proofreaders on 20 January 2010. In his time with us, he proofread and formatted more than 233,000 pages, many in the month before his death. As a Post-Processor, Tom prepared and posted 154 projects to Project Gutenberg. One of his projects, Tik-Tok of Oz, was the 32,000th DP project posted to Project Gutenberg, and Cosmas wrote a DP blog to commemorate it. I remember how excited he was to learn that his project was to be that milestone. He was a real fan of The Wizard of Oz books.

Tom was a very active presence in our forums. He is greatly missed.
