This report covers January - December 2023

Board Activities

  • Approved the GM's 2023 objectives, and evaluated the GM's performance in 2022. Renewed the appointment of Linda Hamilton as the DP General Manager for another two-year term, from January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2025
  • Minor clarification changes were made to the By-Laws.
  • Policies and Procedures were reviewed and amended as needed.
  • Canceled the 2023 election, in accordance with the By-Laws, as the number of candidates matched the number of available seats.

Financials

The bank balance as of 31 December 2023 was $28,856.64. This is sufficient to cover operating expenses for approximately 6 years, barring extraordinary unforeseen expenses. In addition, roughly $300 of DP expenses annually are paid directly by volunteers as donations. DPF is up-to-date with all Federal and NJ state tax and legal filings.

Donations are up by about $2,000 from 2022 ($6,412.87 vs $4,385.62), but still down (by about $2,000) from 2021. This is not a major concern at this point given our current bank balance.
