This report covers January - December 2021

Board Activities

  • Evaluated the General Manager's 2021 performance and approved her 2022 objectives.
  • Updated the By-laws, with the goal of conducting a thorough review, removing inconsistencies and clarifying terminology, as well as ensuring compliance with various statutes. Special attention was paid to the section on Indemnification.
  • Approved an approach for future elections that involves using the phpBB forums (with a polling extension installed) and our own mailing list to run the annual election of Trustees. This is projected to keep our volunteers' information (email addresses) more secure, and to eliminate fees we would have to pay to an external election provider.
  • Canceled the 2021 election, in accordance with the By-Laws, as the number of candidates matched the number of available seats.

The bank balance as of 31 December 2021 was $26,601.61. This is sufficient to cover operating expenses for approximately 6 years, barring extraordinary unforeseen expenses. In addition, roughly $300 of DP expenses annually are paid directly by volunteers as donations. DPF is up-to-date with all Federal and NJ state tax and legal filings.
