Language Support

(Adopted at the DPF Board meeting on December 10, 2016, revised at the DPF Board meeting on February 11, 2017)

Although the Distributed Proofreaders Foundation (DPF) recognizes that English-language projects currently represent Distributed Proofreaders' (DP's) core output, DP should continue to support, as resources allow, the work of its volunteers in other language communities within DP to help them maintain a continuing flow of projects.

Because DP administrative and development resources are limited, it is the responsibility of each language community within DP to try to attract sufficient community members to produce books in that language and to provide translations of any core DP documentation required by those volunteers should there be an insufficient number of community members able to communicate effectively in English.
