Bouillabaisse for Bibliophiles is an anthology of lore, wit, wisdom, tales, poetry, etc. of interest to bookmen & collectors. It itself seems never to have been renewed, but for an anthology including modern material, it could probably only be reproduced in bits and pieces. But here's a list of material pre-1923 that we could work on:
- George Wither, The Schollars Purgatory, Discovered In the Stationers Commonwealth, 1695
- Henry Ward Beecher, Star Papers; of Experiences of Art and Nature, 1855
- John D. Gordan, "First Fruits" in ???, published prior to 1956 probably in Bulletin of the New York Public Library, which I don't believe had a copyright notice at that time
- George Gissing, The Private Papers of Henry Ryecroft, 1903
- Mabel Grey Gehring, On a Scottish Island, 1949, probably clearable with a rule 6
- Thomas Fuller, The Holy State and the Profane State (1642)
- Ben Grauer, "How Bernal Díaz's "True History" Was Reborn", (1955?), written specially for this collection, about 20 pages.
- Lawrence G. Blochman, "The Aldine Folio Murders", first published in "The Dolphin", Part 1, No. 4 (Fall 1940), maybe, possible, Rule 6 clearable
- Mentioned in an article on Fanny Hill
- Memoires de Fanny Hill, 1914
- Bibliotheca Germanorum Erotica, Leipzip, 1885
- Bibliographie des Ouvrages Relatifs a l'Amour, aux Femmes, et au Mariage 1897
- Richard Brinsley Sheridan, The Rivals, 1775
- Anonymous, "A Woman's Tribute to Books", The Spectator (December 10, 1881)
- Eugene Field, The Love Affairs of a Bibliomaniac
- Charles Dickens, David Copperfield
- A. Bronson Alcott, Tablets, 1868
- ...
- Leigh Hunt, My Books, 1823
- ...
- William Blades, The Enemies of Books, 1888
