Book Requests
This page contains links to books people have asked to be run as projects at Distributed Proofreaders. This page explains how Content Providers can find and fulfil books requests, and how anyone can request a book.
This page only deals with individually requested books. For series, subject matter lists, and more, take a look at Lists of books.
The "Books I'd Like to See" Forum Threads
The main system for requesting books is on the Discussion Forums. There is a Books I'd Like to See thread, split up by year to make it more manageable. The current thread is:
Using the Request Threads
Visit the thread linked above to suggest a book or to look for ideas for books to work on.
If you're making a request, it's a good idea to:
- Say a little bit about the book and why you think it would be a good addition to PG, and
- If you can, provide a link to scanned images at the Internet Archive or another online site
If you're picking up a request, don't forget to:
- Read ahead a bit in the thread to see if anyone else has volunteered already, and
- Check the In Progress List to see if anyone else has submitted a PGLAF reques

Archived requests on DP Wiki
There have been several efforts to archive requests from the Forum threads on this Wiki, to make them easier for potential CPers to browse and search.
Requests from 2023-present
Requests from 2023 through (as of this writing) 2025 are archived at: Books We'd Like to See.
The requests on that page are laid out in a table that can be sorted by author, title, or genre, to make it easier for CPs and PMs to find books that suit their interests.

The requests on that page are sorted by author. It includes books requested in the threads and some books added directly to the wiki page. There are also sub-pages for books that do and do not have online images available. Please read the page header for more information on requesting or claiming a book.
