Semitic and Indic transcriptions

From DPWiki

Semitic and Indic transcriptions is a character suite used at DP. It has characters to give us more full proofing support for books that include text from Semitic and Indic-script languages, when written in Romanized forms.

This includes the Semitic languages Hebrew and Arabic, and Indic-script languages such as Sanskrit, Hindustani, and Bengali. Also these characters may rarely be used for transcriptions of extinct languages such as Akkadian and ancient Egyptian.
