Updated list and wiki. Minimal movement. Working away at correspondance and punicorum. Why I'm so focused on correspondance when as soon as I finish it off, the next volume (of 12 left) comes out ... I dunno. But I think it's that I have it under 100 pages now. That's 10 days! No work on content for a few days.
Yes, lots of new shows. Yes, I have tivo, but for stress relief, I'm sitting back more and watching with not as much on DP. I think it was adding to my stress purely from my own sense of pushing myself. I'm trying to limit what I do here. I've been reading sooo much for work that all reading is a bit like work right now. I'm swinging down a bit, it'll swing back up eventually.

Updated list and wiki. A little movement. Still working on the same F2 and am suddenly motivated to finish off Ilias in F1. I don't work there that much except on list item occasionally but then I see my ranking and get all "I must move up!"
I got many chores done today, among the most important - my hair cut! Huzzah! October arrived and I met my pledge and now I can (and did) get my hair cut. It's super cute (ha!) and I am so happy to be done with that mess of hair. Tomorrow is a birthday party and Monday, Monday I think I'm going to check out several clothes stores. I have a sneaking suspicion I won't find what I want/like BUT I must try. I had a few people comment on my clothes these last weeks, along the line of "you are so dressed up all the time" and I was weirded out that I got so defensive and tried to explain it. I made myself stop. I know my wardrobe for the office had gotten too casual, that was the whole point of replacing it with more office "dressy" (i.e. no more t-shirts in cotton, but nice tops in silky or rayon like material and if cotton, it has to be a dress shirt).
Plus the weight loss had rather necessitated some new slacks, otherwise the darn things were falling off me! I finally managed to have a light bulb go off and used Angie's list to find a tailor. There is one less than 10 minutes from my work (but nothing in my home area that I could find) which is a big plus as the two recommendations I received when I asked around were for a tailor 45 minutes north of where I work, which means about an hour and 15 minutes north of where I live. I so hope the person near work is good and not too expensive. If he is ... then I can have some of these too big clothes tailored to FIT properly. I've always had the issue with slacks and skirts anyway, my hips are 45 inches by my waist is 32. Most slacks/skirts assume if you have a 45 inch hips your waist starts at 36. Half the things I try on slide down about four inches and then the crotch is three inches below where it ought to be. But if I belt? Then it has weird gathers/wrinkles and doesn't drape correctly over my big butt. Oh, the humanity of my life. Yeah, really, this is pretty much it for the bad stuff, beyond the massive overworked stress of work.
Let's see, the fun home stuff was that my water heater sprung a leak the day I had to go out of town. I had to leave my friend in charge and so he tried to deal with the plumber and his own work call and so basically he just waved the guy off and said "fix it, just do whatever you have to do to fix it". Which worked, it was fixed by the time I got back -- at what price and with what equipment? I have never even heard of this water heater company, but it looks like "generic water heater". I wasn't able to check out any energy efficient or ecological fixes. Not saying that I would have / could have spent a lot of time. Days without hot water is not a good thing when it's 50 outside. A cold shower then is COOOOOLD. Anyway, my friend copped to his inattention and has agreed to cover, well he hasn't said, but I figure about 1/3 of the cost, since it would appear that the plumber took a smidge of advantage of that inattention.
The roofing guy has NEVER come to fix my roof after four months, so now that the rains have started, it may cause worse damage to my interior. I'm going to be having a conversation with the association president because they don't pay for interior stuff, but if my cost is higher because their guy didn't fix it in time, when he should have, they darn well WILL be paying the difference.
I will be looking at the final bits of Amy's hard work but I think from my quick skim it's ready to go. As she says, it's getting the proposition together with the "why we think this needs doing". Okay, off I go.

I updated the list and wiki, which I did on the 9th as well. No movement on the 9th, but a little movement today. One posted project. Cool. I also split up the posted projects pages, now there is a 2006 and 2007.
Work and home are just about as crazy as always, so nothing new there. Getting a fair number of things done around the house today, so I'm pleased.

Updated list and wiki. Some decent movement. Too much going on, and no time to update, really. Stress not so bad just busy.

I updated on the 21st and today. Little movement, but I did some Spaulding. Not too bad but I feel sorry that it switched to TEI after some people did some amazing table tricking out (mind you back in 2003) and now it's all lost, so to speak. Oh well it happens. I tend to not mind if some of my work is tossed aside, as long as it's been a long time since I did it! Work still crazy, trying really hard to work on content. Lots to do at home and back is acting up so can't do long at the computer. Oh well.

I updated the list but not the wiki. Too tired and the computer is still acting up like crazy.
And now back to Index to 2007
