Updated for foofers list and basic wiki. Still working through content provision. Still working on finishing quizzes.
Insurance guy coming tomorrow. I just realized that it isn't a shadow, it is indeed, damage on my floor. I'm just not thrilled with how much this is no doubt going to cost me. Otherwise, things okay. John keeps trying to make me sick, but I'm getting LOTS of sleep and drinking waater and taking vitamin C, so I hope I disappoint him!

Updated foofers list and wiki including posted project but not updates on F2 Avail or PP. I'll save that for later. I did get the mentoring done, but still no time for quizzes, dang it.
Today is painting day, or at least beginning painting day. I was gonna do the smaller room first but kept pausing in my head. I finally figured out it was that I'm afraid that since the wall of the closet in that room backs onto the master bathroom, once they open up the floor, they may realize they need to go through more and thus ruin the walls in the room I have painted. But doing the larger room is a problem because it is where the computer is. Oh well, if I must, I must and I want to get started so I can get it done.
Rooms are cleared out except for the computer (which clearly, as I'm typing on it) and the rest of the desk. I'll finish that off. Finish taking down the blinds. Clean the walls, remove outlet covers, tape off, put down tarp, tape off some more. And then no doubt collapse too tired to even begin cutting in, which is the other reason I worry about doing the computer room first. I'll push when I'm too tired so hurt myself. Or not push and get behind on things on DP. It doesn't help that the timing for the biorhythms is all wrong also, but if I put off yet again, then we'll start verging into "now it's too hot" also, the rooms are so disassembled, I can't do anything else BUT paint or be on the computer in there. And I have other chores and things to get done, which I can't do until I get the room(s) finished and put mostly back in place so as to get to the stuff currently covered by the things I've moved out of those rooms. :rolls eyes at self: Oh, the humanity ... not.
I'm gonna go take some more iron pills, drink some more water, and finish disassembling. Let's see how long the cable modem cord stretches (which I think is ... not much).

Foofer list updated and so is wiki page. Too much to do, so still pondering changing format. My computer was unavailable due to my re-arrangement of house to get office painted. I did a good job, if I say so myself, although the walls are less light sage green and more light mint green. A little on the blue side and cool tone. This may not work so well since this is the coldest room in the house. But, the last time I tried to pick a green, I got an acid yellow lime green. I don't see yellow in green very well. I'd rather have this! If it bugs too much, I'll go get a darker paint and just do big blocks of colors on the walls to warm it up. I have the other small bedroom to do. I'm 50/50 on doing it this coming weekend. My muscles are all warmed up. I had to finish off one part today (say 1/5th of the room) and I did it quickly and nothing hurt (not arms, not legs). So maybe if I wait and rest this weekend and do it next weekend, I'll be back to achy. Hmmm. As usual, the painting took about three of the eight hours spent on this project. The other five were moving things about and putting down tarps, cleaning the walls and ceiling (of course, I paint the ceiling), taping off, taking off covers, covering the furniture I can't move, cleaning up as I go along, etc. etc. The cutting in was half of the paint time. Especially the ceiling/wall joint. I have at least learned to go nice and slow. If I'm tired, go slower, not faster. Faster means sloppier.
I want to get back to mentoring, I feel guilty, but I just can't manage the time yet. Dang it. I started back up, and bang: work got crazy and painting started and... but at least I did this room first. That's why I did it, so the computer would be available from now on. Now I get to think about the rest of the room. Shall I go spend less $$ at Ikea and get bookshelves galore? Or shall I spend a little more $$ and get the custom stuff. I'm tempted to the latter, of course.
Oh, and my hair. Yup, it's official. I prefer it shorter. It's nice at shoulder length and when nicely layered, not to much in my face or needing to always be pulled back in a ponytail. But it's too much hair all the time, shedding everywhere, particularly in the shower. It's not as annoying as it could be, but generally I just don't want/like all this hair! I don't do anything with it anyway, and a nice stylist can make my shorter hair poofy up and do cool things if I want to go out or have a special occasion. I've also hit that scary stage where I think "hmmm, a perm could be fun" AUK - no! Never again. I don't need the smell, I don't need the inability to get it out of my face and yet can't pull it back, I don't have the combs/brushes and refuse to buy them. I think the longer hair make my face look less pudgy but I think it makes my neck look worse, actually. Plus, it's beginning to highlight my thinning spot, which shorter wouldn't do. What I need to do is get a good shorter cut. Go to the nice stylist, spend more than $15 bucks at a supercuts, and have them find a good cut. The other reason I got bored and wanted a change with the short was that I was always having this sort of boy-cut $15 job. If I can splash out on a $50 pedicure every couple of months, I can skip one twice a year and splash out the $50 on a good haircut.
And that's all, I think. Now off to actually foof something.

Updated foofer list and all the wiki updates and that only took one hour and 50 minutes. Whew! I've been working in F2 on coleridge and f2 quals and f1 fast feedback. I am going to try to upload content tomorrow (something I've been saying for literally six days now)
Both my rooms are painted and look nice. Now I want furniture. :D And the guy with the van to help me? Not available this weekend, drat it all. So I'll have to manage somehow. May go to the movies! Oh wait, have to load content, mutter, mutter.

Updated wiki and changed format completely. I kept a copy of the old format with information current as of today, just in case I don't like this way. No one else but me seems to use it, so I figure to please myself at how I do it. However, I forgot, in removing all the dates except one, that the posted list uses "date on F1 foofer list". At some point I'll have to put those dates back in and track them or just say fooey and do a different date for posted. Not sure which yet.
Back is killing me, even though I've gotten up and down from this computer a lot. I even fixed my broken toilet tank (yay me) and maybe just maybe I'll actually be able to use a toilet near me and not have to go all the way downstairs every night until the contractors fix my bathroom.

Updated foofer list and wiki pages. I like this format, much easier to keep up with. Of course, since Posted Projects has it's own page, I suppose it would be nice to subpage off the others. On the other hand ...
Since there are "fix this" requests for overly long pages, I have concluded that having long pages is bad. I'm not sure it is actually. I like having posted off because once posted, it doesn't change. The others change. Eventually, however, the list will be massively long. Unless people start posting projects as quickly as they are proofed/foofed.
Gosh, I'm soooo tired, but going to bed it out of the question as my neighbors are having a very rowdy party for memorial day. So loud. Always so loud. Anyway, I got my bookcases today and tomorrow is put them together!!! I know doing the large ones will be very, very difficult when I go from on the floor to upright. I am thinking of not putting the back on, I don't know how much it helps keep plumb, but I really want the green to show through, so I hope I can get away with it. The two big ones up tomorrow for sure and then the smaller ones if I'm able and not exhausted.
I can return the paint stuff I didn't use and get some dark wood stain for the futon and that'll be another job to play with. Replace the light, slightly orange-y pine by staining dark brown. That'll look better against the green and then eventually go better with the other wood in the room.
I can't wait to have my bookcases up and my books IN THEM. Bliss doesn't even come close. This week bodes fair to be a good one. I devoutly wish it so. And for anyone else also - good wishes for you!
And now back to Index to 2007
