DP Official Documentation talk:CP and PM/Illustration scans

No where on this page does it give any idea of what is a reasonable or normal size for these scans I have just started CP/PM and in downloading only a few projects in jp2 the file sizes for three hundred plain pages can be 5-6 Gb and individual illustrations or a cover can be 30 MB. Once you start copying files and changing formats, manipulating images etc., the various outputs from Scantailor, Xnview and GIMP and other tools can rapidly multiply this number by a factor of five or more. I would like to see some practical guidance on how to handle this without going out and buying extra hard disk drives or Pen-drives to use as storage space for all these extra files.
