The purpose of this page is to collect a list of the early texts of Project Gutenberg to suggest books that could use an update because some of the old versions contain quite a lot of errors, or because they would really benefit from an illustrated HTML version. (idea origin here)
Anyone who has read a PG text and thinks it deserves an update (or doesn't!) is encouraged to add to the list. Hopefully the list can serve as inspiration for future projects on DP.
Anyone intending to take on any of these books should remember to check if the book is already in the rounds somewhere, for example at DP-US or DP-Canada, or if a newer version has been posted to PG but not yet been updated in the list. If you discover that a book is being worked on or posted, please update the list.
Legend:
- W indicates books that are currently being Worked on somewhere.
- O ones have been looked at and are Ok.
- R is for books that need a Revision.
- D have been re-Done recently.
The table is sorted by ebook number to keep it chronological by first PG appearance.
