This 311 page book (with large print!), originally published as a pulp magazine serial in 1913 and 1914, has a cover illustration, and if you want to see this, or a more nicely formatted version of the text, you can download the web browser, ePub, ePub3, or kindle version. The book has several pages of book ads, but if you don't want to smooth read those I would still appreciate your comments on the book text. This book follows the adventures of Frank Hawley, a young ace photojournalist, as he attempts to unravel the mystery of the missing ex-President of the mythical Latin American country of Baracoa. Did the ex-President abscond with a significant part of the country's treasury, or was he kidnapped? What is the role of the American Ambassador to Baracoa in this affair (not to mention the Ambassador's resourceful daughter)? And given the genre of this story, you should not be surprised to have an American warship show up.
