Instructions for Smooth Reading | ||||
---------- 2023-01-24 16:35 projectID5fc74e8626670_smooth_avail.zip uploaded by charliehoward This is a fascinating, well-illustrated book: it reads more like a thriller novel than the meticulous history it really is. It's the story of the "Culper" network of spies reporting to George Washington during the American Revolutionary War, and I, for one, knew nothing about these spying operations, even though we were taught about at least two of the people involved (besides Washington): Nathan Hale and Benedict Arnold. The book was a bit complex to prepare, because it uses both [bottom of the page] Footnotes and [end of the book] Endnotes ... and some of the Endnotes have Footnotes of their own. Rather than offering you details that won't be available to people who read the book once it's at Project Gutenberg, I'll just refer you to the Transcriber's Notes. Besides reporting normal issues & errors, please don't hesitate to suggest improvements ad clarifications to those TN's. Thank you for helping with this book, and I hope you will enjoy reading it. ---------- 2023-01-25 18:01 projectID5fc74e8626670_smooth_avail.zip uploaded by charliehoward Improved appearance of Title Page and List of Illustrations on some IOS ereaders. |
