Thank you for considering smooth reading "Jack Straw, Lighthouse Builder." This 242 page book published in 1915 has several illustrations, and if you want to see these you can download the web browser, ePub, or kindle version.

The author, Irving Crump, wrote more than a dozen books, many of them for children, as well as editing Boy's Life for 25 years. An extract from this book appeared in the December, 1915 issue of that magazine where it says "Jack spends his vacation helping to build the lighthouse on Cobra Reef, Hood Island, Maine." An ad for the book said an earlier book in the Jack Straw Series "on account of its lively and wholesome story, was listed in the Boy Scout's official reading-list, [and that earlier book] is followed by these new adventures with men who "do" things." Publisher's Weekly noted that the "technical side of lighthouse building in this adventure story for boys has received the critical approval of several marine engineers."

If you need more time to finish, just let me know, and I look forward to your comments.
