Published in 1923, this is about as inside an insider's account as you'll find of the early days of the Hollywood movie studios and the first "stars". There are several rags-to-riches stories, including the one of the author, Samuel Goldwyn. In this book, he finds ways to use superlatives when referring to each of the "stars".
There are numerous spelling errors; we corrected some at various stages of proofing, but I intentionally left others in place, as the intent was clear.
To see the dozens of photographs, you'll want to read one of the online versions listed below. Thank you for helping with this project.
